The sun is still low when we open. The air smells of ground coffee and bread in the toaster, the terrace warms up slowly and the waves set the pace. Breakfast by the sea in Torrevieja needs no staging: a table, morning light and time to spare.
We're a family-run café & resto. Breakfast here isn't a transaction: the orange juice is squeezed to order, the eggs are cooked when you ask for them, and nobody hurries you through your cup. Lounge music in the background, friendly service in English and Spanish, and the beach just across the avenue.

When the morning stretches out, brunch in Torrevieja has a favourite table here. Our Benedict poached eggs — smoked salmon or bacon — leave the kitchen with the hollandaise glossy, and the American pancakes — with fruit and maple syrup, or bacon and caramelised banana — win over people who claim they don't do sweet breakfasts.
Add a salmon or avocado-cream bagel, a fruit bowl and a long milky coffee, and the plan writes itself: brunch facing the beach, no clock, no rush.
