There's an hour when Mango's terrace changes gear: cups give way to glasses, mains start leaving the kitchen and lunch stretches out with nobody watching the clock. A proper lunch by the sea in Torrevieja — with the beach genuinely a few steps away — is harder to find than it sounds. Here it's just how we do things.
And here's the part our international regulars love: the lunch kitchen is running from noon. If you eat early — like half of Europe — there's no waiting until two o'clock: your table in the sun and your hot plate are ready when you are. And if you eat Spanish-style, the kitchen keeps going at full steam until 4:30pm.

Nobody clears your table in a hurry here. After the mains come the warm walnut brownie, a coffee — iced, if you like — and, when the afternoon deserves it, the house cocktails: the Mango Margarita, mojitos, daiquiris and our homemade mango lemonade.
It's the hour when the terrace turns golden and lunch quietly becomes an afternoon plan. Stay until close: the sea isn't going anywhere, and neither should you.

Many of our guests live in Torrevieja all year round and come from the UK, Ireland or Scandinavia — people who eat at 12:30 and love finding a kitchen that's already open. The other half arrive at half past two, Spanish-hungry. The terrace has room and hours for both.
Families do well here: kids' menu, tables in the sun and a beach across the road for the after-lunch dip. For groups, one call is all it takes: we'll save the big table with the view.
